02 vs 03 ho

Okay I am dissapointed in my 02 ZX! We picked up and 03 stock 800 and my 02 is piped cluched and geared with a 151" finger track. The 03 pulled my 02 off the line has more grunt in the middle of the powerband and its 144 seemed to float just as well. What is up with that? Anyway still love both sleds

My other Question is the 03 lighter had to get both sleds unstuck and the 02 at the back of the tunnel seemed 50 lbs puonds heavier what up with that?

same weight or close. maybe 10 more HP but doubtfull. same suspension setup...not sure what your issue is. probly gearing

my zx 600 takes out my 800 and my 827 all depends on how its setup. if your twins are not tuned properlyu it could be robbing HP

On my 02 i have a stealth can, re-gear and dynomo clutch with a 151 finger track. I wounder if the track is heavier?

will the 02 with the 151 finger is going to be heaver than the 03 with a 144 because the track its self is going to weigh more

and if you have both 800s and one has a 151 and the other is a 144. the one with the 144 is going to seem like it has more power because your running the same size motor in both and have a smaller track. which is going to talk less power to turn over compared to the 151

I also ride an 02, that at the time probably only had a can on it, but also got smoked by an o3 w/ 151.

the finger track is basicly good for spring riding not really good in the powder. depending on gearing as well.
