98 RMK 600. Ran fine when I put it away lasty year. This year it has no spark. New plugs. bypassed the kill switch...no change.

Any ideas??
I am thinking coil or stator, but it never had a "die suddenly / restart" phase.

I am lost. and my arm is sore.... :face-icon-small-dis

ya its probebly the mag. i hade to replace on a wheeler was 50 $ so probebly 100 as a dealer if they have one to test it with.

Check connections for stator and cdi unit (no magneto on this model). I had the same type of issue with my XLT last fall. Turned out to be a connector to the stator that is down below carbs that got unplugged when I was reinstalling carbs and airbox after cleaning carbs. Cost me a couple hundred bucks from the shop, but I had them sychronize the carbs and adjust the throttle/kill switch assembly that was sloppy as well.
