08 Nytro RTX track swap - questions

Hi.

Just got a 2008 Yamaha Nytro RTX.

I have ordered a tracksusa extension kit and a 1.75" backcountry track for it.

Question is;

Do I have to remove the tunnell protectors to fit this track?
Or is it enough to just remove the heat-exchanger protectors?

I believe you have to remove both. If you are not running studs remove both and this will help with snow and ice.
