looking to get the roller clutch and 46/42 multi angle helix from mpi.. anyone have these mods? worth the money? what performance gains did you notice?

and are the carbon tech reeds a good investment or do the stock reeds suffice?

i had one of those when maxximum performance made them. they used a cat style helix. sheared the cover studs off( the ones they supplied) in the middle of nowhere, got towed home, took it off and sold it. running stockers ever since. as for the carbon tech reeds, i run them on several sleds and i think i noticed a performance gain, but could be wishful thinking. i put some boyeson rage cages in the srx this year and again, on the stand, seems to have crisper response. i would say go for the reeds, skip the clutch.

Get a 46-42 helix though. I had one of Hartmans helixs in my stock secondary, and made a big difference.

I put off buying one for years cause I thought it was to much money for to little gain. I found a used one for $60. After I installed it, I should of got one from the start.

I ran a MPI for about 5 years. It was decent but nothing amazing. Changed to an AAen roller had to do some machine work (no going back) but It was well worth it.

No special tools. The go on the same as the stock helix.

They can be tricky to get on, because you fight the spring tension.

What type of riding and altitude are you running the 46-42 helix? What mods on your machine. I have three MM700's with stock helix's i run at 9-12k feet.

I have an AAen secondary, stock and a team. The AAen seams to work pretty well. I have a 52/48, 48, 46 and a 48/42 for the AAen. If some one wants to give it a try and is close to CDA, let me know. I have yet to run the Team.

Are you looking to sale the AAen or just let some one barrow it. If you want to sale it let me know. I would be very interested in it.
