Rivets or Hex screw and Bolt to hold skis on?

I'm mounting the new skis I just got and have to redo the rivits.
I went to the SkiDoo shop and they were out of the rivits so I checked out a auto parts store and they only had long 1/4 rivets.

Question is: Can I use 1/4 Hex bolt and nut instead of the Rivets?
