most of us are running the 66-44 .46/ 66-42 .46 with red black spring in the secondary. the 60-44 .46/60-42.46 might be a better option for 166.

i am going to try the team tied secondary this year wit a 70-57 .46 red/green spring.

With everyone trying out the new tied setup, anyone got a good deal on any spare tss-04 parts?

i have the helix biggdawg stated above..and i am using the MTX weights this year...all other clutching is SLP recommendations...chart is on their website..

but the first thing i would do if i was you Speedemon..DROP your gearing..19/41 or 18/40...much better and it will lower your clutch temps ALOT...

20/45 gearing is fine (Guidoxpress-20/45 is actually lower than 19/41 already)
The suggested secondary helix works very well, I ran the 66-42/.46, weight the primary to get the RPM you want, 7400 max if it's a stock motor, and run the 115 belt with lots of venting.
Check the 900 forum, there a ton of info on this already.

I'm running the same secondary set up as BD with the helix in the 42 position. The primary I have SLP blue/pink spring with 10-74 and pull 7650 RPM's on my 06 900 166. 19/42 gearing. At 3000 to 7000 ft. That is with the stock pipe. I just installed a SLP pipe set and might need to change weights.

Speedemon, here's what I run on my '06 (copied from a previous post):

My '06 900-159 has the SLP single and reflash, SLP airbox and V-Force 3 reeds, as well as about 50 lbs. of weight removed. I ride between 4,000 - 7,000 feet.
My clutching is : Primary - 74g MTX weights with 2g rivet in the middle and 3g rivet in the tip - total of 79 grams, SLP black/yellow spring
(120-310 if I remember correctly).
Secondary - 70-42-.46 with Red/Pink spring.
Gearing was 19/42. With this setup, sled pulled very hard, but was still hitting the rev limiter (8050 rpm) quite often (I was told by an SLP tech I met at the Edmonton sled show that with their package, peak power on the '06 is 7,600 rpm's). I've regeared to 20/42 and although it helped out with the over-rev quite a bit, I still hit the limiter occassionally. To that end, I'm going to try a different primary spring with a 10 lb. lighter finish rate. I've also had very good belt life with this setup. Ran one belt for over two dozen rides last winter and it still looks great. As well, my clutches only got clean twice last winter because of belt residue.
