Broke one of the bottom bolts off into the solid casing end on the bottom of the engine.
These are 1/4 threaded bolts and I bought grade 8 to replace them all. I will not torque above the specs for the original bolts. The grade 8 are so they will not brake off when removed.
The bolt hole ends before it goes into the internal part of the case.
At first I considered taping it out with 1/4 inch helicoil but it seems the case itself maybe too thin for this large size.
Typically you would drill out to at least the size bolt that broke off.
So what size would you tap it out to when concerned about the wall thickness?
