As stated above, but i've heard you need to drop and roll for it to fit, and regarding how close it is with the 2.5" i'm almost certain it's true.
And 7 tooth drivers is stock so thats implied

Yes... It fits. No drop and roll needed in the stock tunnel. Hartman rail extension kit.

Been running it for 3 seasons, and just did a tunnel change over the summer. Still no drop and roll.

I just installed a 2.5 paddle 162x16 ce in my stock apex and there was only 0.25" clearance between the paddle and front cooler. I cannot see getting a 3.0 paddle in there. I wanted to install a 3" paddle 162 but was told no way without drop and roll or extended chain case.

He already have an 162x2.5 so when going bigger i guessed he mean 3" paddles, else why ask when he already run 2.5" paddles???

my guess is that robrstopr thought he meant 2.5" paddles, else it doesen't make any sense, we all know 2.5" paddles fit, and i'm almost 100% sure 3" paddles doesent.
"almost" cause i haven't tried one myself, but bye looking on mine with 2.5" paddles how tight it is makes me very certain.

I think he was thinking 3 pitch... not 3" paddles.

and even if you could somehow sneak em in with tiny drivers, the problem people are seeing over in the DOO section was they could fit em, but they were so close when your getting on it sometimes they can come out of the drivers a tiny bit and hit the cooler jamming up and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

drop and roll or chaincase.

Thanks for the input guys but I was refering to a 3 inch paddle...the Apex's already have a 3.0 pitch track on them. I was reallying hoping that the 3 in paddle would fit. but it looks like it won't.

Drop and roll

I put one in my Apex. YOU CAN'T DO IT WITH OUT DROP AND ROLL OR AN EXTENDED CHAINCASE. If you can't line it up yourself VE has templates to make it easy for about 80.00. It is woth te work to put it on. This track is unbelievable.

I rode it all last season. Its like night and day from the 2.5!!!! Well worth the effort to put it on. I won't go with out one now.

on a Nytro, you can get it to work without the D&R but you have to remove the front cooler, and a LOT of other work...but it is possible...

Tried working through the D&R with Avid products but it was a no go, too much work with the side frame pieces on the Nytro...even looked at Cast sides, and that was a no go...

I went to AVID website and saw there extended chain case but didn't see anything for the bearing on the other side...how do they drop the bearing down on the other side of the bulk head??

Thanks...

PS

Has anyone went and checked out Carbo Tech website...they have a coil spring delete kit for the stock suspension! 10-11lbs lighter 700 bucks
