You might have your wires crossed

Check the wiring under the hood, do any parts swapping lately, carbs etc.

I had this issue when I put a motor back into a 2002 800. I had two wires crossed, pulled into wrong connectors.

The only wires i did cross was the one to the coil and the one to the temp sensor. I switched them back when i couldn't start the engine. But the light is still on. What can i do? Is the temp sensor broken?:confused:

The wire in question

find the heat sensor on the Head its about the dia of a dime a 3/4 inch tall.
One wire comes out from it, make sure its plugged into something. ( thats teh posible wire cross) its got to be pugged in or the TEMP will stay on

Unpug it and ground the end going to the gauges and see it the light goes out if so coolant may below or the head sensor bad ----
