Do I need guages for SLP single?

You don't need gauges. As a friend once told me, the EGT tells you what temp it burns down at. 
SLPs specs are plenty safe if you follow them assuming the MBRP can doesn't affect things adversely.

SLP has quite a bit of safety in their specs. Read your plugs at different rpms. You could get real technical and read the wash. Plugs usually tell what's needed to know.
