So I am getting close to finishing up the project of the new tunnel/bulkhead and I was wondering what every one's thoughts were of getting new pads that go under the gas tank, on top of the tunnel. My dealer does not stock these, and it will next week before I would see them. Do you think they are necessary? Number 12 in the picture.

I just that grippy stuff used for lining tool box drawers worked great and is available anywhere.

necessary yes, but like poliznhunter said you can use other material that is available today, you can get foa w/ 3m adhesive on the back at most NAPA stores

I'd use the soft part of some sticky backed velcro. Quick and easy.
