I have a cdi for a 97 700 polaris, but i dont think that will fit a 98 im not sure though.

Check your stator before buying a coil. Here is how. You will need a ohm meter.
All wire's checked will be at the plug going to the coil.
Brown to yellow 0.12 - 0.15 Ohms
Brown to Base 0 Ohm's
White to Green 5.3 - 6.0 Ohm's
White to Base 0 Ohm's
Red to Blue 150 - 190 Ohm's
If your stator is bad i do heve a good one it was on the sled for 1 year. It just colleting dust.

97-99 will work, they probably have different timing curves but not positive. I have one but I am not sure if it is 98 or 99. its in a 98 chassis with a 99 motor let me know
