I've got the factory 5.25" riser on my 07 D7 RMK with stock bars. Can I go to the Powermadd 6.5" with stock bars without lengthening any cables?

Thanks in advance,

A friend of mine has a 8" riser on his, and it was just plug and play, no lengthening needed

sledhead ut,

The 5.25" riser on my sled is the stock Polaris riser for 08. My cables seemed to be maxed out also. I wonder if they put a longer brake line and throttle cable on stock in 08 and 09.

I have a08 700 dragon and put 2 stock 3&3/4 risers on my sled. I did change the brake line but could of just taken the factory line out of the loop and should work. Used all thread to connect the risers together, and locktite so never comes apart. I love the 7&1/2 " bar riser . good luck with your project.:face-icon-small-coo

Is it normal that all my stock wiring on my 07 D7 goes through the center hole of the stock riser? I was hoping for "plug and play" as mentioned above but it looks like everything except the brake line has to get disconnected.

Unless you plan on re-using the original riser, you can just cut a section out of the middle, and all the cables and brake line are free. No need to to disconnect anything. Then install the new riser and run the cables on the front side...plenty of length and no binding at full turns.

x2, what I did was take a sawzall and cut the top half right off the orig. much faster than trying to disconnect everything.

My 08 D8 came with a 5+" riser and my bro-in-laws 08 D7 had a 3-1/2" stock. I switched them so I could put my 4" Skinz bars on without lengthening the brake line. Not sure why they are different as everything else is the same down to the 163". Worked out for both of us to get some rise though.

08 rmk, 7 inch riser and its a normal width one as well. close to max without having to do much but unplug your wires from going through the stock riser.

i am 6'1" and i dont need to go to a 8 inch, my arms have some bend in the elbows when standing in the garage. Driving in powder putting the sled on a incline position they are very tall.
