heading to west yellowstone in january and was told that they don't rent beacons because of liability. does anybody know of a place in west yellowstone where you can rent beacons.

In the past it was an insurance concern and liability. We have worked out the details with our insurance company and are now capable of renting beacons. Fortunatley for you, the pack, shovel, probe and a 15 minute avalanche safety video also come with the package. The price is $20/day and a discount for multiple day rentals. Just got the new shipment of BCA packs, probes, shovels and beacons. We can gear up atleast 25 riders a day...no excuse for not having one when riding around West!
