6 Tips For Extending Life of Your Gear

Published in the November 2018 Issue February 2019 Feature Klim

Snow gear is an investment. It’s a tool that allows you to enjoy your passion for snow comfortably and safely while enhancing your riding experience. Snowmobile gear can be expensive because it integrates high tech fabrics, materials and construction methods that have to stand up to one of the most aggressive usage environments in the outdoors.

The best gear is gear you don’t think about while you’re riding because it’s doing its job and keeping your mind on the ride. You want your gear investment to last as long as possible. Here are a few tips from our friends at Klim to help you extend the life of your snowmobile outerwear.

These tips are good advice in general but each manufacturer can have differing methods they endorse for caring for their product as the products can contain different materials. Find the care label that is located on the inside of the garment. Read it carefully to make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions for washing and caring for the garment. Just throwing it all into the washing machine/dryer together can result in damaged gear.
