Big Motor, Better Traction

White Litening digs in

December 2002 Feature Ryan Peacock
One of the newer sleds to hit the mountains is the White Litening. But the guys at C&F Race Cars, who build the White Litening snowmobile, really know what they're doing.
They've improved this year's sled by adding their own custom tunnel that is just a little different angle in order to increase traction. They also use their own billet one-piece rails. In fact, this sled is loaded with White Litening's original lightweight parts. Everything from the belt drive to the front and rear suspension to the A-arms to the brake rotor is original White Litening merchandise.
The engine is a PSI 1080 with PSI Big Air Carbs. The sled also has PSI ceramic-coated pipes and mufflers.
The White Litening keeps the weight off in a variety of ways. It uses a lightweight hood, custom painted by Body by Northstar. Titanium suspension and clutch springs and titanium bolts lessen the weight even more and the White Litening parts also save on the weight.
In the works are a custom hood and bulkhead and several other original parts.
