I know, its TOTALLY the wrong time of the year to be thinking about this.
But if any of you are serious mountain bikers, SPECIALIZED is running some GREAT FREAKING DEALS right now on holdover 2022 bikes.
My son and I both just ordered a pair of Turbo Levos for this upcoming season.
They were marked down -$1,700 each, and others were even larger discounts.

The Mountain Bike Industry appears to be BADLY OVERSTOCKED coming out of the Pandemic Era and into a recession.
If you're looking for a bike, NOW is an EXCELLENT time to pick up a terrific deal.

We bought the Turbo Levo Carbons

Ha.
I thought I was the only one with a broken neck that sledding is my only relatively pain free sport left.
Even four wheeler, Jeep, Sxs, and boat kick my butt because of body position.
Sledding works so good for me my medical insurance bought my helmet and leatte brace after a letter of recommendation from my surgeon.

I have to admit, I am more that just a little bit surprised to read that.

That I have a broken neck or sledding is pain free?

Body position is everything for neck fusion.
I can do a lot of heavy physical things, it’s stupid little stuff that gets the neck nerves pissed and shuts me down.
I can throw sleds around all day, but I sometimes have to have someone else open my candy bar.

Neck fusion in 2012 from cracking my neck on a qb sack in 8th grade that broke his sternum…..lot of nerve damage from not knowing from 90-12. Pretty wild side effects

Kids love to mock me when I get whooped by a piece of plastic.

Another fun one, I do a lot of wrenching and have sheared a few big bolts in my day on irrigation pumps, but I can’t turn the screwdriver to the get in the electrical box.
Some days I can, some days there’s no strength at all.

Sledding really does help loosen me up and keep moving.

Ordered our 3rd bike last night.
This time for the wife.
While she won't be mountain biking with my son and I any time soon, this should get her back into Biking in general and help her continue forward on her path to getting healthier and fitter in 2023.
