I can't afford a new XP1000. But what I like is that there will be a ton of used XP900's for cheap! My parents have the Maverick and it is super sweet. I too look forward to a shootout between the Maverick and XP1000.

All good and well but it is still a couch with training wheels.

When the side by sides first started getting into the sport world (and out of the ranchers world), I thought the same thing. They were for fat retired people, don't have enough power and you might as well be in a Jeep. Man was I wrong. We borrowed a friends 800 4-seater RZR and ran that thing crazy at the dunes and in the mountains. They fly up dirt roads so much faster than Jeeps and are a hoot in sand. I'd love to have that new XP 1000.

Never wanted one until I rented one while in Moab, UT. I rented a plain 800 S. I was amazed how well they climb and handle, from that experience I'm a big raz'r fan!

The Rzr 4 1000 is now out...that's gotta be a BEAST.

Due to the roll cage and shock reservoirs of the 1000, it surely has FAR LESS storage in the rear box than the 900.
I've looked at them side by side in person.
