M series air sensor questions.

There is a little sensor with black and a blue wire going into the air box. I was wonderin if you needed this or if you do what you guys with aftermarket air intakes are doing with it? I am in the middle of fabbing up an intake but nor really sure if I should make room for the sensor or do something else with it. Thanks

gotta keep it in the system-either fab anew spot in your box or drill out for it in the rubber boot connecting the throttlebodies to the box.
