Flooding and low Boost

I was wondering if anyone has had the following issues:

1 extremely rich at idle, so rich the sled will barely move.

2 I am not getting boost at the proper times. The smart valve is open at Idle and when you apply throttle it tries to close but it is probly around 3/8 " from actually closing.

Could these issues be related? Or are they seperate issues

Check to make sure you are not accidentally in ethanol mode.

I’ve heard they switch into ethanol mode sometimes by themselves.

Check your compression, mine idled low and was very hard starting for the last 5 or 6 rides. then last ride the ring turned on the piston and lost pto side. I have heard of a few of these losing the ring pin, I think mine was going and loosing compression.

4 boost in my group all lost top ends this season, and the ring pin was letting go. 5 of 7 boost in my town have not gone past 1200 miles.

So what's the difference between a regular 850 piston and a Boost piston?
