I used them in the 800's and really liked how they hit. Not higher engadgement but arm pulling accelleration. I think they contributed to premature clutch wear. They made an agressive motor more so, but with the 850, it is refined and hits softer on the bottom. I think they are exatly what these 850's need, only I have gone in another direction. I use the Promag weights as they are about the same price but adustable with the magnets. Early Promag had short lived bushings though. The new ones should be much better.

I've been told after a certain weight (68 grams 0r so not sure) the belly buster portion is no longer present and the meet the stock 10 series weight profile. I been using these weights for years.

I guess when you have a great product, everyone else copying you is a compliment? Seems like every weight manufacturer now jumping on the “copy MDS” bandwagon.

I tested these last year and they are extremely responsive. The dont load quote as hard as a comparable standard belly buster or polaris 10-68 series, but the backshift and mid range is strong. Depending on elevation, we ended using there 70 gram weights with my helix and spring combo for 5500-6500 feet.

Speedwerx is also making an MDS copy like EPI, adjustable though. Personally, I’d only buy adjustable.

MDS is alive and still kicking with kits for Cat, Polaris and Ski Doo we're still a smaller company that still offer our money back guarantee and have new products such as 22 Adapt kit for the Cats. NA or Turbo we offer what we hope our customers come to expect from MDS Clutching. Copied? yes, and they know who they are guess it's a compliment. Remember go with the innovator not the imitators. www.mdsclutching.com or call 509-899-0605
