800CFI Oil Pump Arm Over-center

I just purchased a 2013 Pro RMK 800 155” that was supposedly ready to ride. I was going to turn the oil pump up, but noticed the oil pump arm does not look like what is shown in the service manual. The notch in the arm is at least 90 degrees away from the scribe line. Does this look right? Is this what the manual is referring to in cautioning about not letting the arm go over-center?

It had an MTNTK fix it kit installed 100 miles ago, I’m guessing the arm was reattached incorrectly when it was put back together. Both holes are at 105 psi. I guess I should have checked the compression before I bought it

Looks flipped over to me, from the clutch side you should be able to go in with a long screwdriver and push inward and upward on the oil pump arm to stroke it wide open. This pic is from the clutch side. It’s a bit hard to see but the best I could get. Have a look at the attached page 2.16 from the service manual it shows the best view of how it should be connected. If it’s flipped it will be in the full rich position.

No offense to the owner - could be seven years ago after 100 miles on an open trailer with the hood off.

Seriously, given the one pic that I can't see well, pull the air box off and have a good look/start over. I turned up three of my own and a couple of friend's pros years ago - that looks jenk'ed up. Do it right with no regrets now. Doesn't really take that long, you'll know exactly how it works, and, you'll have a great opportunity to put a new fuel SPI fuel filter in if you haven't already. And even if the filter change was 100 miles ago. Once you know the routine, you can easily adjust oil delivery to where you want it in just a few minutes with nothing removed but the hood, a long screwdriver, and simple socket set with enough extension.

STi410, I apologize for my comment.

Reg2view, You made very valid points.

To all,
It’s a buyer beware market out there, pertaining to used sleds.
Always ask the seller for documentation to back up claims.
Take your test equipment/tools along when your contemplating a purchase. The seller/dealer will think twice about false statements concerning their offering.
Look them over carefully, you can tell a lot about the sellers maintenance program when you open the hood/sidepanels. Like I said buyer beware.
