Just wondering how many time last year did everone have problems with their TPS??
Going out or just needing adjusted....

i went through one tps sensor and one tps harness, caused me a lot of headaches. the video helped when i set the new one up. i would recommend replacing the harness connector when doing the tp.

Wires on mine were bad when I fired up my sled again. Connector and pins are fine, wires are cheap junk. Pulled new wires and used the existing pins/connector, real easy to do.

900 rmk's...but this is a calibration setting... like as in tune up....

I've seen some sleds that have the baseline TPS setting pretty bad, This video does not apply to the small-block CFi motors

how often should you check to make sure its set right? i think it would be a good thing to do every year or so. how much is the tester you need to buy?

Can infer the voltage from a resistance reading. Make sure there's no skips or jumps across the scale on both sides.

The TPS sensor is just a potentiometer.... not terribly complicated devices.

Can a consumer buy the TPS equipment from the video or do most peeps generally fabricate there own ! I know I have seen plans for one here on the site.I am going to put new carb boots and FBFs t-cable on and would like to do this will I am at it .I have always had a fouling problem as well and hope maybe this could solve that issue as well .

I built mine for less than $10 from Radio shack parts... I had to take back two of the regulators as they were out of spec before I got a good one though. (radio shack 5V regulator)

The radio shack thing works great. As far as knowing when to adjust it seems that when your reverse stops working and it won't idle worth a poop.
