Well, i decided to build another 05 rmk 900 to add to my 900 collection.

I call this sled the Budget Build...even tho it didnt quite turn out on my budget like i planned...but then again, i kinda new it wouldnt when i started, LOL.

it all started with the custom chassis (tunnel/bulkhead), i bought the tunnel for $200 and he threw in boxes of other parts with it. So i decided to build a slightly modified 900 with the basic mod parts and upgrades that would get it strong and reliable, but be able to have as a buddy sled...

The whole "budget" statement became since i basically had like 2/3 of a sled in my own "extra" parts, parts that were given to me with the chassis and parts i bought cheap...

I am sure you are wondering what a "budget sled" cost me to build, lol. Well including the parts i already had PRIOR to begining this build, then buying the chassis and accumulating parts to build it, i am in the sled a total of $4,306

This doesnt include labor, powder coating or stress.

Now, the gut crusher...the value of this sled is MODS ONLY, not even the sled, just parts. I priced every part under current retail cost if you were to buy every mod part on this sled, and i got $15,686.

I am leaving for Korea for a year in Feb, then going to Anchorage Alaska for 3 yrs after that, so i will most likely be selling this sled after this season (so i can break in the motor properly myself) for $6,000 if you are interested.

SEAN ! ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME ? that cc cover in pic# 1 is not mine!:jaw: you slut!:brokenheart:

Bahahahaha!!!

Funny ask, bought a chaincase and roller on eBay and this cover was included..thought sweet, then install it and it doesn't even work, it's super thin and must use a spacer. Doesn't have a slot for the chaincase gasket in the cover, lol. It's wall art now ;)

Hey Sean, are you running a u-cooler under the tunnel? If so, would you mind getting me a close up photo of how you ran that tube from the running board - into the tunnel (it looks like) and then to the cooler?

I am getting the aluminum extrusions ordered to weld up a u-cooler for my 900 but I am still a little undecided on how I want to connect to the cooler from the running board extrusion in that same area. Thanks!!!!

Oh my...."budget" ???

I think we need to contact the Guiness(sp) Book of World Records for you and Z-man and your 900's and all the parts, wheeling and dealing, etc....

Love the idea of E-start....then I don't ever have to hand you a piece of rope again. However, I didn't see a starter. Did I miss it, or is it just removed at this time? I know one of our local Polaris Dealers still rides his 900 and he bleeds E-start.

If you do run it, add a ground strap from the ground to the motor. I love POlaris but they do NOT understand electrical at all.

Thanks for return text...:yo::yo:
