Well having just ridden a 09 d8 with BD kit from Code Red...if I were starting from scratch I would do the turbo for sure. This sled ran 8 psi, ZERO lag (ive ridden 6 dif kits on yammi + 2 stroke..All so far had lag and I hate that,and settin enguagement speed high to remove it is BS this was set at 3900)
I will also say that at 8 -9 psi ur equal if not more power than a race gas 1150, and we were runnin 50-50 mix of av and pump.
And rebuilds are a lot cheaper as all stock internals. If I were doing another na motor it would be a watercraft 1200 or 1500 but the turbo deal is gettin to the point of doing everything really well and they are really gettin it dialed in nicely.
Also quite a bit less expensive to build, figure about 6000.00 for a good kit versus about 9-10,000 for a set up n/a motor. And you just take ur bone stock sled and in 2 days of work ur done and riding. IMHO...
