What is the difference with 520HCX and 530 HCX as far as functionality is concerned?

Is it just the screen?

Gratz, I ended up ordering the walmart one because I am having a relative bring it across the border. Typically walmart is low hassle. I was going to buy the amazon deal but there was too much room for problems.

No idea. Typically Garmin makes crap maps for most of Canada so I just end up making my own maps.

I will let you know after I get it.

These will charge the proprietary battery pack in two hours.

Well, after reading all the comments on the Garmin Rinos here on SnoWest I decided to go ahead and take the plunge.

I order two of the Rino 530HCx units this afternoon from PCNation who is offering them for $358.80 each. Which is the best price I could find anywhere on new units.

After the mail-in Garmin rebate of -$50.00 my net price will be $308.88 each.! And they offered Free Fed-Ex delivery and NO Sales Tax as well!

Considering they are selling the factory refurbished units for $285.15, it seems like a No-Brainer to buy the brand new ones for just the $23.73

I added in a pair of the 8GB Min-SD data cards and a copy of the 24K Mountain North Topo map.

The next step will be to get an In-Helmit Mic and earphone system installed so I can use this badboy while I am riding!

I sure hope so.
I am basing this choice on all the comments I heard here.

They certainly don't come cheap!!
But if they work as advertised, it would be a SWEET tool to help find someone when they get seperated from me.

I have been watching ebay, amazon, craigslist...... Finally got a new, still in the wrapping and box, warranted as new by Garmin 520hcx for $230. Rolling the dice, but from a respected reseller, so hope it works out.

Gave up on the couple of features you get on the 530's. My Rino 120 is worthless @ locking on Satellites. This one better be as good as advertised.
