sled: 2014 pro rmk w/bd tial 2860 gtx
Elevation: sea level - 4k ft
fuel: c16/93 50/50 mix
Boost: would like to play between 5 and 10lbs
Clutching: boondocker low elevation clutch kit
Aem afr gauge/ koso dual egt

I am currently wrapping up this build and am very excited to get it on the snow. Boondocker says it should run pretty well with their factory numbers/ clutching, but just incase i have a few questions for guys more experienced with tuning then myself.

Afr numbers- what should i be looking for at ide, mid, and wide open throttle?

Egt temps- what is safe? what is pushing it?

Max Rpm- what is the max rpm i should be turning?

plug gap?

I appreciate any help or suggestions that anyone may have. Living in the northeast there isn''t too many people with turbo sled experience. Would also love to hear from anyone who has had good success tuning at low elevation.
Thanks for reading
Dennis

idle can bee 14.5 - 15
mid range should be 12.8-13.5
full on load 11.8-12.8

is your turbo a gtx 2863 or a 2860rs. they dont make a 2860gtx.

egt i like to see 1250 have seen some sleds run as high as 1350. alot of this has to do with probe placement. anything over 1350 shut her down fast.

cant speak for the boondocker camp on the rest.

are you running stock head? how about timing module?

we have quite a few running at sea level. also have some running in alaska. with all that very clean air.

Thanks for the response The turbo is a 2860gtx and I do have the timing module. The head is currently the factory head..

Curious about this kit as no one seems to have a reliable kit for sea level applications.

I'll be sure to give a review after I get a few days on the sled. I have high hopes. Last two years I ran a 2010 m8t at 0 to 4k feet and the only real issues I had were due to my own ignorance.

Also how crucial is running an anti stab kit with the stock drivers and track? I am ordering one today but wondering if i should hold off on riding the sled till it arrives? Any Recommendations?

You don't need an anti stab kit if you are running stock drivers and stock track.

The antistab is for the install of anti ratchet drivers and going with an aftermarket track such as the X3 or 2.5 Camo.

IF im seeing a max rpm of 8440 under high load could this be causing me to hit det? It has only happened a couple times but always seems to happen at the worst possible moment. should i be looking into adding weight to my primary?

You Absolutely will be hitting your det. Add more weght in the primary or a softer finish rate spring. Higher finish angle in the secondary helix will also help with overrev.

Just wondering what helix came in that clutch kit ?
Generally most turbos are running straight angle helixs usually 48 and up .

I would suggest tunning the clutch that's running the hottest. No reason to add more weight in the primary if your belt is just slipping in the secondary.
