I surprised it held together too! I wiggled the shaft its still pretty sturdy from the water pump. definitely lucky I didn't end up with a crank case full of prestone.

We've suffered piston / clearance issues, flimsy tunnels, cheesy drive shafts, broken QD belts, & now we're missing complete parts from our machines.

I seriously wonder if a dealer or two or three have found this doing other work, and didn't tell the customer, or the customer just didn't think much of it. A pic or two to rub it in poo's face would be cool, too. Thanks for the update, at least you figured it out without a bamboozling stealer involved. Nice work.
