Every storm that looked like this the last two years was followed by rain in the valley. If these temps stay cool like they are supposed to, we are going to see some of the best riding this area has seen in the last couple of years. A couple more inches here at the cabins this morning and still snowing. Keep in mind, all of this recent snow fell on a bunch of dried out fluff from all of the sub zero days prior. if a snotel site is showing 20" of new it is likely a fair bit more than that, after you take into account all of the settling happening underneath. Avalanche danger is considerable and predicted to go higher. Be careful!!!
