Will it work or blow up

I have a 09 m8 with SLP porting, pipe and head work. After buying a new Proclimb it will be a backup/wife's sled.

Looking at letting a friend borrow/buy the SLP pipe and PCV fuel controller off of my M8 to use on his newly ported 08 M8.

So if I put the stock exhaust back on my ported sled along with a fuel pressure regulator to bump up the fuel a few psi will keep it from burning down?

I know a fuel pressure regulator will add fuel along all RPM ranges and isn't ideal, but I'm not looking for peak performance (wife won't know the difference) just looking for something to keep the engine running decent and safe.

Has anyone done something like this or have any ideas ?

You should be fine with the stock exhaust and the stock intake. I would check plugs after a low elevation pull and make they looked good, and then you will be ok. SLPs porting is good and conservative.
