Looking to upgrade my M7 to a 10.4". Which models and years have the 10.4", looking at finding a good deal on a used one just unsure of the year cutoff.

before you go used, price out the new updated replacement from bdx. they are not that expensive, and you get the new larger bushing for longer service life. might save you some headaches with a used unit that may already be pooched, before you buy it. common problem with the M series. Ski

BDX does not make the bigger bushing anymore......they said it did not hold up any long than the stock....that's what they told me when I wanted to get my replaced.....they use the same as a stock one

Even if they don't put the larger bushing in anymore, I'd still opt for trying to get a new sheave set. At least then that bushing is new. Otherwise you will be sending the used ones off to have it replaced anyway.

As stated above, the cat diamond drive secondary is garbage after 1000 mountain miles. buy the new sheaves from bdx, $289 I think. Not worth buying a used worn out secondary.

If you put rock rollers in and keep the bushing clean and lubed with dry moly they last fine. My m1000 has 3000 miles, and the m7 that I just sold was an 05 with 6000 miles and original clutches are in good shape.

Keep your 10" they work great when repsired by Mel @ Formula X-1. Cuts off aluminum hub & bolts on a steel coated one. He also installs a deeper better bushing. Lifetime repair

I liked the 10.4 upgrade on my M7, but that was also for Low elevation riding which may make more of a difference? Between that and the D&D power lite pipe it really woke up a rather unimpressive(Power wise) stock M7 Limited 162. Also did the float conversion on it with front arm relo brackets, was a cool mod at the time. Many options for the rear skid now.
