question about hood vents

My buddy has a 2010 m8 and wants to put the big triangle vent on the center of the hood. I see a ton of sleds out there with them but just want to make sure there are no negative effects if your in deep powder. Does it make the sled bog or anything? Any help would be great. Thanks

Zero negative effects, snow doesnt get threw so it cant cause bogging. Only keeps your engine cooler and sled running and looking better.

It also doesn't do as much as you think if he's still got the stock air box.

But yeah, it's not going to hurt anything.

The snow is always on it bc of the plastic frame around it. Some round frog skins would work better bc the snow could still slide off the hood.
