Just bought a 2011 M8 153 limited with 0 miles still in the crate from the dealership. I was wondering if there were any specific problems, issues, etc people have seen on this particular model. Or any upgrades you guys think are worthwile. Im coming off a 2008 600 crossfire so this is the first 800 i will have and im pretty new to it. Super stoked for next season now! Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

BDX ACt drive bearing upgrade at some point.
Get rid of the stock 25 pound can, Speedwerx sounds nice.
Then put the boots to er, you got one hell of a sled!

I just got the same sled in Jan. had an 07. What a difference, It's a very fun sled. I've got a Speedwerks can and it does sound pretty good. Gauge lifter is on my list.

X2! Those are the basics. Maybe a suspension revalve after that.

I hate to add this, but....I will. I put 4 rides on mine, I tore the track so I replaced with a 2.6. That was really a big difference I didn't expect. I definitely don't think it's a need though.

I forgot to mention that...I did the Chris Buraunt rear shock revalve. Sled rode 10x better after that. Highly recommend.

consider can for weight

drop a can in it and run the piss out of it.
I sold my 11 ltd this yr with just over 2k on it .
got a 14m8000 and there are a lot of times I missed my m8
only issue I had was the plug for pipe sensor had wires pull out and hood tab that holds cable that stops hood from opening pulled right through top of hood on a cold day opening hood to check on status of lunch in muff pot.
oh yeah get the oil tank filler neck sleeve insert my neck started to warp after just a few rides 15 buck andit was fixed .
if going with a used can the m1000 are the same thing
