This summer Im going to be putting either the 2.6 PC or the CE 2.5 in my 153 M7 and im wondering if I should regear to 55/65? The sled has full exhaust an rkt secondary kit on a 10.4 clutch and a 13.1 head on it for mods

A lot of M7s (depending on model and year) had the 55/65 gearing in them. If yours does not, it should.

05s had 57/63 and 06 had 55/65 if I remember right. It will be stamped on the cover of the Diamond Drive. (Which is what it came with, but if it has been changed you would not know.)

So I have an 05 m7. I plan to go through the diamond drive this summer. Should I switch to 55/65 if it isn't already? Only engine mods are bikeman y pipe and can and m8 (10.4) clutches (primary and secondary). Not sure if it matters but I run the 156" 2.5 challenger extreme.

Are these the gears?

Hey guys, so I was trying to get more info on this gearing. I looked at the factory parts and neither 05 or 06 listed 55/65 gears according to arcticcatpartshouse.com but I found them on BDX's website, the link is below. I am assuming this is the gear swap you guys are talking about? What kind of performance do you guys see from switching gears? What else would you recommend changing in the diamond drive if you were going through it? Thanks!

All the bearings were shot in mine at 2500 miles and I changed the oil regularly. They weren't coming apart yet, but they were just flat worn out and rough. If you have not done so and have that many miles or more, I would put all new ones in. Also, put a new seal in where the drive shaft attaches.
