Going to be riding McCall Feb1st - 4th, but we want stop by tollgate area for a bit of riding on the way there.

Any suggestions on where to go riding?
Is there somewhere else beside tollgate that is close, say within another hour?

Don't know the area so just looking for some suggestions.

great place

159 miles groomed trails. Scenic, valleys, rolling hills, meadows and two great warming huts on opposite ends. We also have steep and deep if the snow is right. This year has been great so far. Rabbit

Tollgate is well marked and easier to navigate,.. you will hit another trail even if you cross country. Cathrine is one way in and back out. If you cross country carry a GPS. But the PLAY ground is great. Stop at tollgate then sleep at LaGrande. Ride Cathrine creek then sleep at North Powder or Baker city. Then head to Halfway to top it off. Leave town through Oxbo into New meadows to get to McCall. Brent

I've rode Halfway a few times and definitely like that area.
