09 800 into 10 with 10 ECU and throttle body

maybe someone will know the answer.
I have a 09 800 with a 925 kit, Complete engine on the bench, and was thinking of putting it into my 2010 M8. I have a 09 ECU and throttle body but no 09 harness.
the wire harness is the same I believe except for the injectors/injector plug
So Im wondering if I could run the 10 ecu and throttle bodies on this 09 925

Yes, get an 09 harness. The Ecu end is different the injector impedance is different, the ccu portion is a bit different etc etc. If you do the 09 harness it will save you some grey hairs.

This is an interesting topic as I'm looking at installing a 2011 ECU into my 09. I've looked at all the electrical components of both years and they are identical. yes the injectors, wiring harness and ECU are different but that could be based on the different plugs on the injectors. Eric have you actually converted either way? sorry Thunder don't mean to highjack......

Just swap the top end onto the 10 and go from there.... MUCH easier then all that!! haha...doesn't do you much good going back with the 10 cylinders on the 09 bottom 1/2.

I know the HO crank is lighter and quicker reving. The 09 does have
Less case volume ( higher crankcase compression ) so the intake charge
Will overcome the cylinder pressure sooner so more intake charge will
Make it to the cylinder. In theory . And hundereds of othe factors. T A,
Ect. We will see how it works out. As always fingers crossed.

I was just Wondering if the 10 ecu,throttle body and harness would work on this 09 925. Sled is a skeleton so switching out the harness is not a big deal. Good thing I enjoy messing around with sleds.

I had Ported HO cylinders with jaws twins on a 09 bottom last year
And it pulled 77 gr full tip on my P85 (not heavy heal Cat weights)
I took it apart and started a new build, picked up a 09 925 top end
for a good Deal and going to give that a go.

Well Thunder let me know how yours turns out, I have my 2011 ECU coming and the high impedance injectors are in the 50mm throttle bodies awaiting install.

well Thunder I just finish installing a 2011 ECU, 50 mm throttle bodies with high impedance injectors into my 09 HCR with 09 wiring harness and it fired up and ran perfect (I did have to change the injector plugs but that is just the outside plastic shell as the terminals fit right in). So I think to answer your question you can drop that 09 motor into a 2010 sled as long as you change the injectors to the high impedance injectors.

just the usual, 925 BB, pipe can and Y-pipe, reeds, air intake, P-85, K-mod, Peaks, BX skis, a few other light weight bits and pieces.

are the 50mm from BDX of are they off a 1000 and narrowed ? or do 1000 fit ?

If you want the lighten up your 09 crank Norther Crank in TRF will do that. He has done quite a few. He did mine back in 10 it has been great!!!! He poreted my case and cly and he recomended the 1000 50mm tbs and you do have to narrow them up. So I did them and it is also piped and a head it has been a great sled sold it to my dad and he has put 2500 miles on it trouble free well other then a couple trees that he came up on a lil to fast lol
