What happened to Spring Fling this year? I'm thinking it would take more than crappy snow to kill this party!!

Any organized event with a certain number (I forget) of people requires a permit. They are not easy to come by. I've even had the USFS tell me I have to have a ecological study to get the permit - NO BS!

Heck I had my family of 6 with 3 snowmobiles and an ez-up canopy in the muddy creek parking lot meadow and the USFS checked up on me. Oh well, no big deal. He was just wondering what was going on and checked my stickers. Although it was nice to find out more on the parking lot proposal. I am hoping spring fling is still a go because I hope to make it this year.

Spring Fling is on for sure. 1,2,3 of May up at Muddy Creek parking lot on Rabbit ears pass, with a organized dinner on Saturday night.

All are welcome!

We are working on putting together a raffle to go along with the potluck dinner on saturday night. Funds raised to be used to put a beacon testing station up at the new parking lot.

Anybody know how the snow is holding up? I don't expect an epic day but it would be nice to get to the snow within 1 mile of mud!
