Hey guys, my buddy going to swap out the stock track on his 14 pro. Does not want a 3" it will be 7t drives because he wants the gear ratio drop. It's between powerclaw 2.6 or the camo extreme. #9175. We live on the coast. And low elevation. So more wet snow then dry pow. What track would you pick?

I would pick the X3 hands down. It performs better in all snow conditions. Watch your temps on the trail and use the scratchers. He will be very happy with that track. I am not sure about the new Powerclaw but I am sure about the X3 versus the CE.

I have the same question except for dry powder snow conditions.

The 9174/75 are the basis for the paddle design on the X3.
Think of it as the X2.5.

In spring snow the 2.6PC gets the nod...but not by much IMO... It also retains a "carpet" of snow under it in downhill braking (pump the brakes to clear).

In all other situations... the 9174/5 gets the nod IMO... It is the "swiss army knife" of deep snow tracks and I'll be running another 9174 this season.

Anyone ever buy a track from sledtrack.com, or have any experience with them. Looking at a 9175 CE 2.5 and they are cheaper than TracksUSA.

Just did a quick check on pricing for the 9175
Tracksusa 9175 $700
sledtrack.com 9175- $752
snowcitymi.com 9175- $669.37

I just bought my third track from snowcitymi in the last 2 years. Every time I check they are the cheapest. Give them a call and you can save on shipping too. Very good to work with.

Just an FYI.

One thing to note when purchasing a track from an online/mail-order dealer...

Any warranty claims, should you in the unlikely event of an issue arising with your Camoplast track..... The track must be returned, at the customers expense, to the vendor prior to any warranty decisions... unless the vendor is willing to pay for that or works out some kind of special arrangement with the factory otherwise in that particular instance.

I've read a few threads on the forums here over the years, where customers DID purchase from an online vendor, where the customer perceived a warranty issue to exist... complained fiercely (and wrongly) that Camoplast Inc. should cover the cost of return to the factory... when in fact, the dealer should have described the process up front with the customer.

That being said, Vendors like OTS, TracksUSA, snowcitymi etc offer great prices and service.

Ordered from snowcitymi.com last year and was able to pick up the track at a warehouse about 20 minutes from home (in MN) and skip all the shipping charges on it. Will definitely order from them again.

what track is recommended for a STOCK 155 RMK? don’t want to mess with changing drivers and all that stuff. I just want a better replacement.
this 2.4 is not nearly as good as the 2.6 PC I had on my Proclimb. Down hill is a wild ride:face-icon-small-who

how is the assault track on downhills?

I'd say the Challenger Extreme 2.5. I believe the part number is 9104.

Best 2.5" Track for Pro?

I am looking at maybe trying a different track on my 2013 155 PRO. I have ridden sleds with a 3" and it feels a little overkill to me. My dad has what I believe is a CAMO Peak 2.5 on his turbo and it seems to perform really well in all kinds of snow conditions. My sled is pretty much stock besides minor things like can, clutching, vents, etc. Maybe there won't be enough gain with an aftermarket track, Considering polaris does design a pretty good powder track. Looking for some input.

discussed about 1/2 page down:

and numerous other threads.

i really like the X3 and will be running one this year now that i got rid of my turbo. if i was going with a 2.5 the camo extreme is great. imo the peak gets too much ski lift that doesn't relate to forward momentum - put the only one i rode was on a turbo that i don't think was setup properly.

Do you think the CE 2.5 (9104) wouldn't do as good as the stock polaris track in deep snow because the lugs are stiffer and wouldn't fold over as much? Or do you think that would be a non issue?
