Been thinking about getting a sled dolly for moving sleds around the garage and in and out of the garage. I've got two different sets of wheels, a set of caster style wheels and a set of the Sure grip dollies and they all work just okay.

I'm looking for something to move them around quick and easy but don't really want the big "halo" style dolly, as they take up to much room when not in use.

I came across the "EZ Mover" and thought this might be okay??? Anybody have one or used one??? Any thoughts or advice????

Here's the link to the EZ Mover,

They have been around for years and use to work very slick on the trailing arm sleds. Don't think work as well on the newer sleds and if your not careful you might damage the plastic on some sleds. Eric

These are pretty slick. Drive on/drive off.

I made these, they roll really easy, they are also the same width as the ski so the sled can go right up against a wall. I have a dolly mounted on a round piece of 3/4 inch ply-board that is under the track. I can push my sleds around the shop just like a dirt bike.

I like these. Easy to roll the sled around on and can be stored flat. When storing the sled I lift it only a couple inches off the floor. Very nice when working on them.

I would stay away from anything that doesn't have larger air-filled tires. Anything with the small solid wheels will be a nightmare to roll through snow/ice/gravel. I've had a couple sets of different casters and on anything other than a flat, level, clean surface - they suck.

I've got a lift with wheels but I'm looking for something to move the sleds in and out of the garage with "ease".

Most track and ski wheels suck (which I have two different sets) and I don't really want one of those large halo style moving dollies as they take up to much room when not being used. That's why I was kinda wondering about those EZ movers or something else like them.

Yeah those are the "halo" style and yes they work good but when not in use there a pain in the azz for storing.

The ski doo dealership here has these ones they use in the shop.. not sure what they are called but you just stick it under the running boards/frame, and lifts the whole thing up its on big wheels they wheel it all around.

They look sorta like this.. but im not sure exactly what they use.

Oh.

Well I know you said you don't want to drag/lift anything but..

I use these in the shop. the front wheels are not hard to get on you can just grab a ski hoop and yank till they slide down.. then kinda press down on the front of the ski and they go right on... the rear is the hardest for me because my back sucks most of the time.. but they work really well and keep my floor from getting tore up

Anyone else used one of those ez movers and have any feedback ? I'm interested as well. That looks like the best solution - op stated he has wheel casters already

So when I was in the market the sledez movers were out of stock so I decided to just build my own. Got a 2 x 10 and some wheels and a couple 2 x 4 s and made my own for less then $75. Wheels are the expensive part. You want to get some good heavy duty wheels so they don't break. I broke one of mine. I did however make 3 of them for less than the price of 1 of the sledez movers. I love the ones I made though. I can move them around our shop so easy. Just drive on and then spin them around to where you want them to be in the shop. I would not recommend them if you want to use them in gravel or dirt. Hard surfaces only. You can back off of them if needed too. It does take a bit of strength to pull them on by hand if the sled wont start but it is doable by yourself, and a piece of cake if there is two of you there.

I too had the Harbor Freight dollies and they SUCKED! Ya they did the work for the most part. The casters are just cheap ones though. Also the wood breaks easy. After a couple uses the casters wouldn't turn and it just became a PITA.

Here are a few pictures of the ones I made.

I use these as my drive is all gravel and I could never find much that would roll over it and successfully stay on. I'm happy to report they work as good as 35mph down the grid road as they do at put put speed in my shop
