November 6, 2015 Alpine, WY Snow Report
This is Rob from the Rockin' M Ranch Cabin and Snowmobile Rentals. I will do my best to give current snow reports as I have in past seasons. We had a wet week, but the snow level has been 8000 plus until last night. I measured 7" here at the cabins this morning. Blind Bull is showing 14" on the snotel site. The prediction is for cooler temperatures and more snow on Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully this is a good start to a great winter!!!

Just got back from hunting up the Greys River this morning. Most of the real accumulation doesn't really start until you get over 8000 feet. Spotty for the most part down low. Bared off south facing slopes, 6"-8" in the shade of the trees down low. Road is icy with some dirt patches. Probably still a little too early for a road ride. Ground is frozen. Snow should start sticking pretty good now.

Hey Rob, a few couples from MI are going to head west and meet up with my wife and I for the last week of December. Primary objective is to do some riding!!

Any reason we shouldn't be considering Alpine at that time? I'll add Rockin M ranch to the possible stay locations if you have a loft cabin available...

Thanks for any info you can give!
Chris

Yesterdays storm gave us about 5" here at the cabins. The Blind Bull snotel site now reads 28". Targhee ski resort is over 32".

Looking at the web cameras it appears there is finally enough to ride Grey's river road, have you laid eyes on that since this storm by chance?

I don't believe so, quite a few around Alpine though.
Was pretty light last weekend but enough for a trail ride. Supposed to get a bit more tonight but it may be a bit before it's decent off trail.

This last storm wasn't too impressive. Most of the valley snow was melted by the warm weather and rain for the few days proceeding the storm. Rain changed to snow about 4:00 p.m. yesterday but didn't put down more than a skiff in the valley. The good news is for over 8000 feet the snow pack is going up. Blind Bull is at 28". The Jackson hole ski resort is reporting 10" in the last 48 hours and Targhee Resort is showing 18" in the last week. More snow in the forecast for the weekend and later next week.

December 14, 2015 Rockin' M Snow Report
Alpine, Wyoming
It's about 8:20 a.m. Monday here at the cabins. I just measured 5" of fresh snow and it is still snowing. The local snotel sites are not giving any data for the last 24 hours. Snow in the forecast many times throughout the next week. I will try to report after anything significant. Hoping to ride later in the week.
