Beware of First place parts

We have had good luck online with FPP. And with Dennis Kirk where real people answer the phone. And if a company doesn't answer their phone (within reason) I call their competitor.
In December of 2013 I was going to order a jersey I liked in a 2014 Polaris catalog and I was told by my dealer that I can't get it because they are discontinued. WHAT? It's a brand new catalog! My point here is even with all the technology we have today even the multibillion dollar company's have their problems.
And to the people who wait until the last minute? We all have heard the following. :face-icon-small-dis

The above three post bring up some good points. Thanks, Wheel House you may have worded it better than anyone. There is this tunnel of phone calls, emails, orders and if one thing goes wrong it just clogs up the whole tunnel. It's hard to put everything in a post but here are a few examples of what clogs the tunnel. People placing an order and then calling four or five times to make sure it went through, people emailing and if they don't get a response in literally 15 minutes sending another and another and another. We've had people send over 20 emails in one day. All of this adds to our work load and keeps us from getting things done.

The MotorFist issue, yes they did have a few problems getting us the boots, which is good and bad, good because they were selling like hot cakes and bad because it pissed some people off that they could not get their boots. The owner Brad is like any other small business, he cannot order 50,000 boots so that he never runs out he has to make an educated decision as to what he thinks all of his dealers can sell. If they sell more than that, then the boots are gone until the next ship comes in if at all. Again a big BUT, they were not the only company that sold out of some products. Take the new 509 Goggles for example, Tom the owner, also going on past sales ordered what he thought was enough goggles, well guess what it was not enough. In hind sight I bet he would have ordered a few thousand more, but he didn't. Not his fault, he cannot afford to sit on ten thousand goggles that do not sell, neither can we.

Pro-8250 also has a few good points, even Dennis Kirk and Polaris don't have the product some times. First Place Parts is a small compared to these guys. But like I've said above, before FirstPlaceParts.com there was NO place you could go to, to order: Klim, MotorFist, FXR, HMK, Castle X, TOBE, Slednecks, Arctiva, Coldwave, and more all on one web site.

Yes we have growing pains and yes we plan on addressing those and fixing the problems, hopefully. I say hopefully because I have no idea what next year will bring.

People who knew what they wanted and ordered them usually had their order place and shipped within a day or two. Once MotorFist, 509, FXR, BCA and a few others started selling our then people had to wait for the next shipment and that pissed them off.

I could go on and on about the industry and what people don't see behind the lines. My son has raced dirt bikes for about 10 years now and we go through a lot of tires, I'd venture to say that Dunlop and Bridgestone are larger than probably the whole snow market and even they will sometimes not have the tires in the country when I need them, that’s why I order 20 or 30 tires before the season starts.

If you would like to ask any industry specific question, I'd be glad to answer them this may clear things up and explain how things are done.

I could go on and on about the industry and what people don't see behind the lines. The best time to buy a boat? Fall.
If your going on your favorite snowmobile trip January 1st. Don't expect the boots you have put off buying for two years to be in stock December 24th.

Nice, I usually dread reading post like this. Your first sentence made me laugh. Again not saying that we are not at fault but you do have it correct, everyone waits until the last minute or orders on the busiest days of the year and by then the product is either gone or it may take us or the manufacturer a few days to process. Yes I know some took much longer than a few days.

First Place Parts used to get a lot of orders from me. But when they jerked me around several times last year I was done with them. I will gladly take my money to some one who cares about there customers.

Mark, can you please have customer service check into order #152585 and get back to me? I'm still waiting on FXR bibs from a November order and the order ship status for the bibs still shows 12/12 as the expected ship date. The CC was charged already.
I've been trying to reach firstplaceparts via website order inquiry/email and phone since before Christmas and haven't had any luck. I understand it's the busy season... just trying to resolve this and if nothing else, cancel that portion of the order and get a refund.

last place parts...

What a disappointment!! I ordered a sheatshirt from last place parts in the beginning of December as a xmas present got the confirmation email and thought that everything was good well guess what around the 20th or so when nothing arrived I got nervous and started to call them well I tried as I never could get ahold of anyone in person. I left several messages and sent emails with no reply. On dec 30th I finally realized my package was never going to arrive and I ordered the same thing on ebay. Buyer beware stay away from last place parts!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is really sad that you guys are putting this back on the customer. I mean I won't buy from you guys again for the simple fact that you won't answer calls, emails, messages on here, or on facebook about orders that are placed and not shown up yet. I mean if I could talk to someone there to find out what is going on I could order from someone else that has what I need in stock and have it before my trip, but no customer services all I get so you have lost my business for good after this whole order is resolved.

You might try to contact them on FB, they sure seems to have a lot of time EVERYDAY to post riding pics etc.

I have apparently been lucky, order two balaclavas last week and they showed up Monday.

Cancelled my order today. Had an email about an hour later that they had refunded my order. Weird that they could not respond to the other two emails or answer the phone however thanks for the prompt refund.

Get on facebook and send them a message. It's the only way I got an answer. But funny thing was they said they were waiting for klim to send the order and had no ETA for me. Get home from work and boom what's sitting on my front porch but my order. No one over there has any idea how to run a company and should just give up now. They will never get another penny from me. They seem to have plenty of time to be on facebook though.

I've repeated ordered parts through out the last couple of year and every time is takes awhile to receive them. I keep telling myself it will not happen again but it always does. They should say on their website if the product is in stock or not. If something needs to be back ordered that makes a difference between where I will buy a part. Also I only live in Washington State.

I ordered a jacket and pants AFTER PMing them here to be sure they were in stock. They assured me that the items were in stock. I ordered, two weeks later HALF the order showed up with a note saying that the other item was backordered. It took two months and a Paypal case to get my money.

Ordered a helmet on Friday, it showed up on Tuesday. I would most certainly order from them again. I also ordered a jacket from another website and don't have it yet due to it being back ordered. Have some patience people. If you want it right now, go down to your local dealer, if you have one, and pay full price for it.
