Every other ride on my turbo the spark plugs need to be tightened up, is this normal? New head and plugs. Is this just regular maintenance of a turbo?:bowl:

As said above...Detonation.

How long have you noticed this?

IMO... worth a head removal or borescope to see what condition the pistons are in.

How many miles on the current pistons?

What boost level are you running?

What fuel?

Pistons look fine(RKTech),300 miles,....8 lbs no intercooler, 91 oct. with a gallon + of 110 for insurance.....Det has gone off on trail under certain throttle conditions, long coasting then slowly roll into throttle and Det has gone off, ride it hard and no problem.

12 Pro 800, Boondocker, newer box with built-in boost control, updated too newer tube air intake(box) with 2 injectors......RB motor when I did updates, runs great except the loose plugs and hitting Det on trail once and a while. Have EGT and O2 gauges, may see 1275-1325 on trail if I hold throttle in one position, mostly tree riding so mostly on/off type riding, not much hill banging. O2 seem normal 12.7-12.2 at full throttle, do see 16 at idle after a while after you start it. Ride 6-10k mostly.

What are you running for fuel? Are you running a timing key? What boost?

5 pound spring at about 6500 feet when it happened. Maybe 6000. It was spring and temps were warmer. Should I mix a gallon or two of AV gas to play it safe?

I would. It's also possible you got older gas. We have that problem here in Colorado mountain towns. Most people buy he cheap stuff and the 91 sits a while. Give me a call at 719-271-6687 and we can discuss.

No brainer here: detonation. Have your tune look at immediately.
