I am hardley ever in a situation where i need headlights. I spend little to no time on public trails and last year i went on one 10 minute night ride to a casino close to my buddies camp. With that being said I want to optimize airflow into the engine compartment and reduce weight. Heres my questions:

1) any modifications needed to the 800ho electrical system to be without headlights?
2) which delete kit did you go with, how do you like it?
3) can the headlight go back in if needed? say if i know im going for a quick night toot...

thanks

1) No, just take the headlight bulbs out and zip tie the connectors to the wiring harness to keep them from falling on the pipe. And obviously remove the headlights.
2) Mountain fit makes a headlight mesh screen that rivets over the headlight openings. BDX also makes an insert that takes place of the headlight.. but plenty more options. I have both and like the mountain fit better..
3) With the mountain fit you could honestly just toss one headlight back in and run it for when you need it with that screen over it.

1) Pull the bulbs and tape up the ends good, that's all I did.
2) Moflows vents. They're mesh with frogskinz behind the mesh. Seem good to me.
3) I used allen head bolts instead of the rivets in the kit so I could take it out. It looks like the headlight could fit in behind it.
