On Polaris site. Pro rmk belt #115 is 1.46" wide and 46.77" outer circumference. The new compound belt for the axys rmk #183 is the same size as the 115 belt. So looks like the gates 44c4553 should work. Just going off Polaris sit.

Ya here in b.c my dealer said the new 3211183 stock Polaris axys rmk belt is $270 or $275 each. So this gates belt is worth a shot.

Something is wrong with your sled most likely

Here is what my Gates belt look like after this weekend. Total of 30 hours which is about the same as my Polaris. Hope they will warranty it like they said

Most likely... And don't take this the wrong way... you have something wrong with your clutches or your clutching setup....or your motor mounts

I know some real mountain-jockeys with 10lb boosted turbo sleds that ride the pizz out of their sleds in deep wet snow, through the trees, riverbeds you name it... that get at least half a season from the stock 3211115 belts.

I've seen other riders that go through belts like you do... and the culprit was always other than the belt (and not the riding style or HP)

IF something is "out of whack"... you most likely will see an increase in performance if you fix it.

Thanks for the info guys! I was under the ASSumption too that the AXYS Rush and AXYS RMK would take the same belt. So, being the same size, it wouldn't hurt to carry a CAT 048 or Poo 115 as a backup belt then? I'd rather not spend money until I have to :)

For this price... I would much rather use the same belts for spare as what is on the sled... AND ... with the correct length of the Gates Carbon (and price) I'd rather use this than the different dimension Arctic Cat belts.... Just my opinion.

Got my 4 belts. Works out to 160 each buy the time I get them. Better then the 240 the deal charges for the 115.

Its hard to believe that any non-Polaris belt does not need adjusting of belt-to-sheave clearance.

Even with the Polaris belt, they need to be adjusted. Most Primaries these days come with the sheave width nearly 1/16" (0.050"-0.070") too wide.

Well I ordered 3 of the 44C4553 off of Ebay just now for $84.76 each, cheapest I could find at the moment. I only have 1 of my 1115 belts left in good condition after this last season to run between my 2 sleds... I'm gonna need a spare for each and a new one right off the bat for one of them. I hope they work as well as has been reported here! There's snow in the mountains, just need a little more and I'll be up there.:face-icon-small-hap

For those in the market; I have 4 (44C4553) new in box. PM for your price.

I've since switched to running the 45C4553 because I have had my sheaves trued to the "correct" same angle (Indy Dan), which Polaris copied when they produced the AXYS.

So I got one of these belts last year but got massive over revving when I put it on. Was like it was made of hard plastic, no grip at all. Took it of after an hour...

Anyone else experience something like that?

I asked a similar question regarding the Gates 44C4553 on another thread in here and did not get a single response... I guess asking about belts is not like asking which OIL is the BEST!:face-icon-small-ton

I know somebody out there has to be running them and I would also love to hear about your results... Good, bad or indifferent.
