hello fellow snowesters,
i recently came back from a 3 day trip to the mountains, but my sled was not pulling rpm the last 2 days.
first day, it was amazing; 8300 all day and skis to the sky! last 2 days, wouldn't pull over 6500 rpm ( sounds like overfueling) , and only building ~3 lbs boost ( when EBC set to 8lbs).
here's what i've checked so far:
1) exhaust valves: both valves themselves, diaphragms, and that little passage into the motor all are good.
2) TPS: no apparent dead spots, and adjusted correctly (per increasing IQ sticky)
3) primary clutch: no broken spring, slides smoothly and weights aren't binding.
4) secondary spring good, buttons good, no flat spots in helix.
5) new pre-filter on turbo inlet.... old one was a little dirty.
6) compression is 130 each cylinder ( MTNTK drop in done last year)
going to check:
1) pipe for damage (split )
2) exhaust donuts for damage
3) EGT probe
4) bypass EBC and see if she'll build boost and rpm
5) swap fuel controller (boondocker) with known good and see if that clears it up
6) delamination of intake boots.
7) reeds
can you guys think of anything else it might be?
kinda frustrating when the sled is running unbelievable one day, then won't even get you horny on the trail up the next 2.
