Are there any advantages to using an SLP or similar pipe and y pipe on our turbo sleds?

Cmx claims the slp pipe makes a difference and that's what they run on there turbo setups.

I really wanted to try it last week while I had one laying around but was advised not to as it would throw tuning off on the bottom and mid range but still think I should have tried it... But now the pipe is sold :(

I do not have experience with one but have heard the same thing that they are more prone to cracking. My guess would be that they are fine at lower boost levels.

No expereance yet but soon will be, i think the aftermaket pipes will be better, i dought you will have cracking issues if the chinsy stock pipe cam handle boost with the steel under the heat shield gets rusty and pited, then a ceramic coated pipe will be better
