ups or usps--shipped a couple..

I 2nd both of those, just make sure to roll/wrap it up as tight as you can than tie it with rope or wire-the smaller the package size the cheaper.

I've shipped a couple thousand packages selling stuff on eBay, my experience shipping heavier stuff is Fedex is cheaper than both USPS and UPS, unless things have changed in the last year since I quit selling.
USPS parcel post is cheapest in my experience, priority is a bit more, up to twice as much from MN to AK.
I just shipped one today.
UPS won't take it unless it's in a box.
It was a 166 Polaris track and the USPS said the box was too big. So it went UPS. From Utah to Washington, $36.
