Clutch cleaning?

So I heard one of the best ways to clean my primary and secondary clutch is to just throw them in the dishwasher. Is this true? And if so do I just remove them and put them in the dishwasher? Or do I have to disassemble them?

Yes it works great but disassemble them first. They immediately blow them out with compressed air and give them a good whip down afterwards
