The clearance issue with the SLP intake is because of the lower, center mounted oil gauge tho right?

If you were just running the 2 upper boost gauges, it would tilt more and clear the SLP intake adequately.

This is correct.

I'm loving my lifter,it's nice having it up infront of you so you know what's going on.

Here is my Rip off of the guage lifter. It is basically a standard gauge lifter and I made a secondary plate that bolts on the base so that the gauges can be mounted on the side . As you can see the key was relocated and as it happens the wires for the AFR fit neatly through the old keyswitch hole and the boost guage hose slips nicley along the side of the headlight adjuster . very clean and because i made my base slightly shorter it keeps everything under the line of the hood out of harms way.

Looks good. I initially thought I'd like something like that also(1gauge each side), but after installing my madfab & standing on the sled, I think they are more functional (easier to glance at both gauges) with both on one side. I run slp intake also, guessing its not going to clear with shorter lifter.

Just finished install. Polaris should have these standard on the Pro's, seriously, awesome for the standup backcountry rider. & turbo builders, I can't believe they all dont include these with their kits. I rode last wk without - its impossible when the sled hits 10lbs boost, to hold on, keep the sled pointed the right way & try to get a lock on ur RPM & boost & AFR - tried a couple times & gave up....

These gauge lifters w/ pods are one of those gotta see it to appreciate it things. Pictures don't do the functionality of these justice. I am not even a tiny bit worried about durability either (& i roll my sled over plenty), it's not going anywhere.

I mounted madfab lifter w/ SIDE pods on one sled & lifter w/ TOP pods on the other.

Here's my $.02: (edit 2/6/11 - don't make observations in the garage before u ride....,,, now to give actual feedback..)

**both have slp air intakes

- top mount: best view of the gauge & pods when riding. I like. So far so good for durability.

- side mount pods: with slp intake, it sits almost completely horizontal. I thought I was going to like this better, but after riding, its good but top mount is better, imho.

His handlebar mount for the fuel controller was icing on the cake. Side pods are nice & tight against LCD lifter, no waisted space - job well done.

I'll post up some pics tomorrow, but like I said, they don't do them justice.

Madfab's customer service & product are excellent. Thanks.

Guage lifters should definatly not be standard ! How would mad fab,etc stay in business? after market always does it better anyway .Polaris would make it out of plastic.

The Moment I saw one I thought to myself " NO WAY Im paying for one of those":face-icon-small-coo It helps if you own a water jet .

Super Idea I couldnt wait to rip off:face-icon-small-hap

BTW no worries mad fab I wont be selling any I cant keep up with my own ideas .
