Im guessing none of the manufactures are checking this area of the forum. Lots of opportunity to make the case for their particular set up for different elevations and engine mods.

I'd wait to see what Jack finds out from his trip to Chile with Burandt. That should be a decent source as he would likely be riding production model sleds.

After getting a chance to service many new Polaris Axys clutch's we have found that typically they are all over the boards on balance and the belt to sheave clearance is typically way too big. Got one the other day that was .036" most are in the area of .026" plus. Regarding balance we are finding them from 2-3 grams per plain to as much as 10 grams out total. This is not an uncommon situation with production balancing. It is my opinion that a clutch should be balanced the way you plan on running it. You can balance a clutch and then put in fly weights that are not all the same weight (which is very common) and you just created a very large unbalance in your clutch. Also the bolt bushing and washer typically has a large amount of play (around .017") so when you tighten your bolt you just moved the weight of the bolt off centerline of the crank and just put unbalance back into the mix. We like to set the belt to sheave clearance to .002" and put the balance into the 2/10th range or less. A clutch with moving parts changes all the time. So get it as close as possible and run it. Its the best is going to be. Remember that 7 grams of unbalance at 8000 RPM puts over 100 lbs of force on your crank every revolution. Just something to think about.
